Gasification scheme proposed in Bexley

October 2011: A site in Bexley, the borough which is home to a the new  Belvedere incinerator, is also being examined for a new waste to energy gasification power plant.  The scheme, to be developed by waste company Cyclamax, is proposing to build the facility at Burts Wharf Resource Park, off Crabtree Manorway North.
