HCA provides FIT advice

15 March 2011: The Homes and Communities Agency has today issued a statement to its Investment Partners to explain how the Feed In Tariff (FIT) relates to schemes that have received HCA funding, clarifying issues about State Aid rules on ‘double public subsidy’ . Where an Investment Partner has been awarded funding through the National Affordable Housing Programme, or any other from of public subsidy, they will need to demonstrate that this funding has not been used to pay for installations for which Feed In Tariff is then sought.

AEA Microgeneration Index

February 2011: Consultancy AEA have taken Ofgem’s Feed in Tariff (FIT) quarterly data reports of installations of qualifying renewable energy technologies, tidied up the excel spreadsheet data, to help provide a clearer regional breakdown of capacity and types of renewable energy systems installed. For London this goes down to individual borough reports.

FIT installation report

1 February 2011: Ofgem have just issued the first of what will be quarterly reports on the installation of Feed in Tariff (FIT) accredited generators. This report and spreadsheet provides detail  on close to 20,000 installations accredited over the period April 2010 (when the FIT regime started) to December 2010.  The spreadsheet provides geographical information) (but will need a bit of work to pull out the London numbers only). 21 September 2010: Friends of the Earth report FIT for the Future – produced by ARUP – details how councils, schools, households and businesses can make a guaranteed income and reduce fuel bills by generating electricity from small scale renewable energy systems.
